I am constantly getting annoying popups saying to update to v71. I'm on the ESR channel. There is no way to stop these intrusive alerts from within Preferences anymore -- is there a solution in About Config?

What pop-ups do you see? Are you actually on the ESR channel, or just on version 68?

To check your channel, you can use the first table on the Troubleshooting Information page. Either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Return

Under "Application Basics", look for "Update Channel".

In a Mac you just Get Info.

Keep getting a "notification" popup in the upper right of the screen saying something like "get firefox update" Followed the "learn more" link in it & it wanted to download v71.
