Junk Mail not to moved to Junk Folder

If I flag a message as Junk in the inbox the flag is set but the message is not autmatically moved to the Junk Folder I need to either drag it there or Rt Click and select 'Move to Junk Again' (why Again I wonder) This used to work properly on my old profile but I had cause to create a new profile

What you describe it the default Junk operation. If you want the messages moved to a Junk folder you go into Junk Controls and set it up that way. This tells you how. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-and-junk-spam-messages

That is the per account screen. Do you have the same for your other accounts?

What do you have for the global junk settings under Options-Security-Junk?

The default Junk settings had not been set to move Junk messages to the Junk folder and changing this fixed the problem Thank you

However the link you posted is misleading as it says that setting the Account Junk settings would take precedence over the Default settings which it doesn't

I agree. That has always been my understanding. What version is the Thunderbird you are running in case there is a bug in this version.
