I can't log in with my icloud mail

Dear Sir/Madam:

I am using Thunderbird to manage my icloud mail for a while. But it do not work out quite well since last week. It keeps requiring me to enter the password (although it is correct). After talking with Apple tech online support, they recommend me to contact to you for further assistance. The fact is, I do not know what can do and what they can do. It irritates me after struggling with them after the whole afternoon.

On June 15 Apple has force enabled 2-step verification for apps using iCloud. In iCloud you have to create an app-specific password for Thunderbird, which you have to specify in Thunderbird.

You also have to remove any old passwords you have already saved in Thunderbird for this to work. You can do this under Tools > Options > Security > Saved Passwords and remove the password for imap.mail.me.com.
