I have tried everything on your site to stop Firefox from freezing up on Win 7. I have been running Firefox for years and love it. I have the same version of Firefox running on a separate system and are not having any problems. Looks like to me that since I have no other problems with any other programs then logically it looks like a Firefox and my Win7 system. Is there someway that I could remove all files associated with Firefox and then reload Firefox like it had never been on this system before?

You can go to the location where you have Firefox installed. This might be at the Program files (x86), and delete the entire Firefox folder.

Once you're finished with that, visit this support page, to find an older version back. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-older-version-of-firefox

I hope this fixed your problem. If not, please leave a reply!

Could you describe the symptoms in more detail. For example: Are you getting "NOT RESPONDING" for 10-30 seconds and then it returns to normal? Is there a lot of hard drive activity during that time? Does this occur primarily when Firefox is using over 2GB of memory? Etc.

In my personal case I use IObit Uninstaller 6.0.2 Free for Windows found in this page (beware because they have a bigger paid version)

   http://downloads.tomsguide.com/IObit-Uninstaller-2,0301-52763.html

Note: After deletion wait a bit for complete deletion of residual files. it will ask you permission to delete.

I use Win 7

P.S. 1- After trying to fix a firefox problem by running it in safe mode (without all addons) 2-One thing I did in the past: after making certain I did have a copy of Firefox in my download library, I disconnected my pc from the internet and executed the firefox installer from my downloads library.
