I messed up. I went to my old email client and sent all my emails to an empty folder on my desktop. I did this in trying to make more room on my original IMAP server. When I did this it deleted all m emails in my Thunderbird Inbox. I have figured out that when I click on an email in that folder it reads it in Thunderbird and I can copy it to the Inbox. There are so many of them I am looking for an easier way to get them back to my TB Inbox. Any help would be appreciated.

Putting them back into the Inbox in the email account will just put them back on the server.

The Local Folders account is provided just for this kind of situation. It's local storage, on your own hardware, independent of any email accounts or their servers.

Try the https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/ add-on for bulk copying.
