Why do I keep receiving emails that I have received weeks ago?
About once a week I will receive 2-3 emails that I had received weeks ago. They appear as new emails and are not sent again by the original sender. The duplicated emails seem quite random.

What's the size of those messages? Large by any chance? What could happen is this scenario: You're on a relatively slow connection and are polling every 5 minutes. Downloading a message with a large attachment exceeds the 5 minute time-slot thus the server never get's the signal "message download completed" It keep's the message until finally TB succeeds (weeks later) in downloading within the 5 minute period.
Just a guess. /Frans
Hi Thanks for your input but there were only a couple that had attachments and they were very small in size. All of the other were 1 or 2 line emails. Usually, I am notified I have 3 new messages and only one of them will appear in bold at the top of the list. The other 2 repeat messages are placed right beside the original message and I have to scroll down to find them. Thanks again, Rob
It is possible that your popstate.dat file may have incorrect info for that email or some other corruption has caused it to go awol.
See info here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Popstate.dat
You could delete the popstate.dat file and it will create a new one. The downside is that anything on the server will be downloaded again, but only once.
