Text entry is appearing in reverse e.g. if I type google, it appears as elgoog.
Firefox version number 17.0 on my Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 running Android 2.3.6. Using the Samsung keyboard with XT9 predictive text. I can enter text ok into the URL field but the problem appears when I try to enter text into a data entry field on a web page. When I type the first character, the cursor appears on the left of that character instead of to the right. This means that the text is entered backwards. the only way I can get it to enter text correctly is if I shift the cursor after entering each character. Example web page entry field is the Search field on my home page www.nzcity.co.nz but it happens on other fields as well. Thanks. Peter Northway

We have made several changes to keyboard input in Firefox 19 and 20. You should be able to find Firefox 19 in the play store as Firefox beta on Friday of this week.

Try in Safe Mode -> https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
Did you installed any Firefox themes - change it to default.

Thanks for your help guys, I will try the Firefox 19 Beta when available later this week.
Many thanks KBROSNAN, text now enters correctly in the same field in Firefox Beta. Cheers.
I'm having the same problem -- right here in this text box as well as in the past in Google Chrome, and now in Firefox 21, to which I just switched yesterday! It's driving me crazy... It's taken me several minutes just to type this much info, since I have to keep "chasing my cursor" and all the jumping letters, around, and delete/retype so much. It's also happening in my gmail and just generally, everywhere I type on the Net. Please help! I'd so appreciate it! Thank you in advance...
Hi Judylee, As I mentioned above in this thread, I installed Firefox 19 Beta from the Google Play Store and this cured the problem. I am now on Firefox Beta 22 and this problem still hasn't reappeared. Regards Peter.
