About ctrl+enter behavior
The combination of ctrl+enter couldn't auto-complete "www....com" in my FF4.0. Since no settings seem to be improper, I could not figure out the reasons.

Try running Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. If it works correctly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.

Did you get a 404 error or something?
Maybe it was a .net, or a .org?
- SHIFT+ Enter will open .net
- CTRL+SHIFT+Enter will open .org
thank you for your reply, but it is not something like that. When I am using ctrl+enter or shift+enter, it works just the same as using "enter" itself.
So Enter alone launches a search in Google right? And you're saying ctrl+enter does the same thing?
Exactly! Any suggestions?

The problem has been solved. When I disable "omnibar", these combinations work again. Thank you, Xircal!
You're welcome.
The newest version of Omnibar has corrected the issue with the cntrl-enter auto complete problem. A link can be found here to the latest version. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/omnibar/versions/. It is version 0.7.7.20110418. It will not update as of yet as it has not been reviewed but I have installed it and it is working.
Thanks for sharing. I have just installed the latest version of omnibar. It works well with me, too.
i had the same problem so i deleted a addon called autocomplete disabler pro(i don't remember that i installed any addon with that name) and everything just works fine again.
