I am in the Army living in Germany and trying to prevent German web sites from interfering with my internet settings. Help!
I use Firefox and IE for browsing the web. Recently I have been having issues with my AOL and Facebook accounts being automatically redirected to their German counterpart sites. Seems like my computer is being taken over by the German internet. I am living in Germany and I don't mind the German adds that pop up, but I can't even access AOL or U.S. FB no matter what I try. I even hit the English (U.S.) on the bottom of FB and nothing happens. When I hit the (U.S.) button the screen seems to refresh, but always back to the German site. I recently installed Windows 7, but these issues didn't begin immediately.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
- "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
- "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If the Google (Firefox) or Yahoo home page is in the wrong language then see:

Thanks! Let me give it a try.
