When I make a purchase on a certain website and select a pickup date, I always get the error "date must be equal to or greater than today" cause, obviously, I can't pick it up yesterday. This happens even if I go ahead months. The same website pickup date works fine on Chrome. I'd rather use Firefox than google's platform. screen shot from 8/22/19. Any assistance would be appreciated.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration {web link} in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

Hi lisaslists2000, I don't know where the site does its date comparison. For example, if it submits the date to the server and the date is rejected by the server, Firefox might be sending the wrong date. If a script in the page does the date comparison, there may be a problem with the date/time in your Firefox. Let's check that second one first.

Could you open the Web Console in the lower part of the tab using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > Web Developer > Web Console
  • (menu bar) Tools > Web Developer > Web Console
  • (Windows) Ctrl+Shift+k

In the command line (starts with ») type or paste this and press the Enter key to run it:

new Date();

The first time you use the Web Console, Firefox may require you to take an action to prove you understand it is dangerous to run scripts from strangers.

Does the JavaScript Date() function give you back a date/time that makes sense for your time zone?

It could also be the date format. For example; 3/5/2019 or is it 5/3/2019 ?

Is there a calendar displayed? Try using it instead.
