Hello

My system is a clean install of windows 10 64-bit version 1803 on a brand new computer; Thunderbird is version 60.3.1 (32-bit)

The problem is I don't see a new email notification in the taskbar, not even TB icon even after trying the solutions advocated on previous Support Forum answers.

TB is open, and duly appears on the open programs list; TB options in the general tab have been checked for both "show an alert" and "show a tray icon".

In Windows' Taskbar settings, in "Select which icons appear on th taskbar", the TB button is on.

But no icon appears in the taskbar, and subsequently no notification icon when I receive new mail.

Hope anyone can help my on this most bothersome issue.

Thank you in advance,

joão Paulo Gaspar

Perhaps a reset of the notification area will fix this:

Another option is Windows Taskbar Unread Badge:

Many thanks, your first solution seems to have fixed it.
