After updating to version 61.0.1 (64-bit) (Windows 7 64-bit) the session restore function does not work. I have several windows with lots of tabs, and all has gone. I tried to replace the backup js files in profile directory, but it does not solve the problem. So I tried to figure out, which functionality has the rpoblem. I opened a brand new session, opened three window with one-one different tab, and closed Firefox. After restarting, only one window was restored with the correct tab, the rest was opened with blank page. "Restore All windows" button also did nothing. So the problem is with the restoring functionality during startup in the new version. Please provide patch for this!

Did you have the privacy settings options set to restore them?

Yes, of course.

Use one of these to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar.

  • "3-bar" menu button -> Exit (Power button)
  • Windows: File -> Exit
  • Mac: Firefox -> Quit Firefox
  • Linux: File -> Quit

In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes".

  • do not clear the Browsing History
  • clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exception for password and other website specific data
  • clearing "Cookies" will remove all selected cookies including cookies with an "Allow" exception you may want to keep

My Firefox is set to "Remember history".

Do you recommend to change to custom settings, and delete all my history?
