If my home calendar is CAT ( Central African Time) and I am travelling in another time zone, for example NZ. If I enter an event on my google calendar on android, the time is displayed on Lightning in my home zone, not my local or travelling zone. Is it possible to display more than one time zone in Lightning.

not that I am aware of, but you could just change your time zone in options to reflect wherever you actually are. so when in NZ everything will show as NZ time.
