I have tried resetting the mozilla firefox browser a couple of times to get the browser to reset to default, however, I kept getting the application/octet-stream pop-up. I have saved the file and it gives me the option to open up with a different program. Uh, any suggestions or any idea why it keeps doing this?

Hi turnteched, This would be the dialogue that pops up after a download has finished. For Firefox for desktop this is in the Options/Preferences > Applications menu. If the field is set to always ask this will happen. Set How Firefox Handles Different File Types But this preference is different in mobile.

Is there a webpage that you are seeing in Firefox that initiated the download?
