How do I change the webpage that opens when I open a new tab?

I had a program that somehow managed to install its self - Babylon or something, but I removed it right away. Deleted everything relating even remotely to it from my computer. Moments later I found out that they had installed an addon for Firefox (Aurora) which I then removed immediately as well. Though now, when ever I open a new tab it goes directly to the Babylon Search, the address bar doesn't default google search when I type something in, and im at a complete loss for what to do.


And no, i'm not going to download the addon for firefox that does something with a new tab because its completely unnecessary. I just need to adjust my settings and revert the New Tab page back to what it was - an assortment of pages I most frequently visited and had pinned.

Never mind, i found the answer myself, but i'm going to type it in up here

open up a new tab, and then type About:Config into the address bar, then click on "I'll be careful!"

From there you type in the search area at the top "Newtab" And there should be a line starting with "browser.newtab.url" with the URL of the website that opens in a new tab. Right click and reset so "About:Newtab" is the default. and there we go. simple.
