Hi

I'm using Firefox 94.0.1 (64-bit) on macOS Big Sur.

I have noticed that when I click on website dropdown menus (a good example here: https://www.globalsqa.com/demo-site/select-dropdown-menu/), the menu often immediately closes, before I am able to select an option in the menu. I initially thought my mouse was the issue, but it happens even if I use a different mouse.

It happens perhaps 25% of all times I click on a dropdown menu like the one on the site mentioned above. The issue only seems to happen on Mac, it works fine on the Windows version.

I have tried in other browsers on the same Mac, where I do not have this issue.

Have tried Firefox safe mode, using another mouse, and reinstalling Firefox, but not luck in resolving the issue.

EDIT:

I did some more testing -- looks like the issue only happens when using Logitech mice. I tried 3 different ones, all have the same issue.

The moment I tried another brand mouse, the issue goes away.

I guess the Firefox app on Mac may think I am double-clicking instead of doing a single click when using the Logitech mice.

Is there any way in changing clicking behavior / recognition of clicks in Firefox? The issue does not occur in other apps on the same Mac.

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
