Interference and slowness
I have been a Firefox user for a long time and have been generally very pleased. Recently, however, I am having two problems:
1. I receive repeated error messages that another program is interfering with Firefox. It freezes the screen momentarily, and gives me a choice to stop or wait (or sometimes a third choice to terminate the program). If I make a choice to stop the website will proceed, but often the error message will appear several times in a row over a few minutes. I believe the interfering program is probably LastPass, which I use as a password manager and do not wish to cease using. I have reinstalled and updated Firefox, but it has not helped. It seems to occur with several sites, including Facebook and Ebay. I have not been able fix it, and have not been able to definitively find the interfering program or a solution. It does not occur when I use another internet program, including Chrome.
2. Recently Firefox has become very slow. I have switched to Chrome which is much quicker, but I would prefer to use Firefox if possible.

Have you tried the same sites in Safe Mode?
I just went to Safe Mode and it seems to help with the slowness. I presume my next step is to go down the list of add-ons, disabling them one at a time, going to regular Firefox to see if it has increased in speed. Is there any simpler way?
Unable tell if it affects the interference issue, as it seems to be at random timewise. Maybe the only way to check it is to run normal Firefox with individual add-ons disabled one at a time until the error message pops up (or doesn't).
If it appears that LastPass is the problem is there any solution other than not use it?
Just doing a search for "LastPass slowing down Firefox" shows that you are not alone. ;-)) Since you are in Firefox, why not allow the browser to save your passwords? I have never had an issue with Firefox taking care of passwords.
