I use Linux Mint, just updated to Firefox 29, there is no CHROME folder in my default profile folder. I can not edit userCHROME.css to put tabs back on bottom where they are supposed to be. Will adds be forced on us the same way the tab options just were? Why is there a CHROME folder in Mozilla Firefox anyway? If I wanted to use Chrome, I would #$^$^#$&^ use CHROME!!!!!

I have used Firefox since it's first release, since it is becoming everything I hate in a browser, I guess it finally time to look elsewhere.

First line - "userChrome.css in the chrome folder is a CSS file that can be used to change the way Mozilla applications' interfaces look. This file does not exist in a new profile. You can create it manually. "

First, you need to create the chrome folder, then you create the userChrome.css file and place it in the chrome folder.

Or, you can use the ChromEdit Plus extension which will automatically create that folder and the necessary "user" files for you.

The word Chrome has nothing to do with Google Chrome as the word chrome has been in use in Mozilla products a very long time before the Google Chrome browser even existed as of Sept 2008.
