I've just had the (now realized) bad idea of installing WaterFox, just to see how it works. I have a Vista 64x-based system. The result: WaterFox messed up my Firefox settings and now some features do not respond, even after restoring the system to a previous point (WaterFox is not in my system anymore). For example: when creating a new tab and typing a web address, FF does not respond to ENTER, it does nothing and screen remains blank. Or every time I restart FF, the Tab Mix Plus extension assumes the system crashed and offers the option to choose the crashed session, when there was no crash at all. Thanks.

You should have created a new profile for Waterfox instead of using your (default) Firefox profile.

You will have to create a new profile for Firefox.

See "Creating a profile":

You can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Thank you, it was a glitch caused by Tab Mix Plus. Not sure whether WaterFox had something to do or the extension was working bad; after updating it the problems were solved.
