I am no longer able to play streaming audio from a local radio station using Firefox v14. The same radio station plays fine using my currently-installed version of IE. This radio station played correctly in the past using Firefox. I have no idea where to begin troubleshooting this problem.

Thanks for the help!

That is a Flash player object created by JavaScript.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

I can't seem to fine any cookies from the radio station in question. I looked for the call letters as well as the frequency (1430) and found neither one. I have completed all of the other recommended steps, and started Firefox in safe mode.

When I connect to the station, a brief commercial plays, but the currently playing content does not.

i have not taken any other steps, awaiting some further advice.
