Have Bookmarks but they don't show in the Library in FF4
Recently upgraded to Firefox 4.0. I was using XMarks but it messed up. XMarks is now disabled. Firefox Sync is also disabled. I do show all my Bookmarks and they do work using the Bookmarks Menu Bar and Toolbar. Problem is when I try to see them after clicking on Bookmarks Menu Bar, Show All Bookmarks, the Bookmark library does not show. Bookmarks button on Navigation Bar also shows empty library. Bookmarks are in the program, but does not show in the library. I've tried backup and restore from several days ago, same symptoms. Gone through forums and no results there. Tried reloading FF4.0, same situation. Any suggestions?

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
Hi cor-el, Thanks so much for the save! I did as you suggested and the file was recreated. I did have to clean up some duplicates and adjust some bookmarks around and then saved a backup. I did have the problem happen again but did the same thing and used the backup to rebuild the Library. I have restarted the v4.0 Sync on my laptop and reset the password on the Sync on my desktop. I am going to monitor operation on both machines closely and see if the problem reoccurs. Otherwise, with your help, I believe my bookmarks are now under control. Thanks again. John Fowler
