I'm getting a blue dot on the hamburger icon and when I tap the burger icon there's a blue dot next to "install" on the drop-down menu. However when I switch to another tab there's no Blue Dot and there's no install menu item.

What is the install icon wanting me to install and if it's a Firefox update why isn't this blue dot showing on all of my open tabs?

Apparently this one's a stumper! Seeing as no one seems to know anything about the Blue Dot I went ahead and tapped on the install button that has the blue dot on it to see what it was wanting to install and figured out that if you re on a site that has an app that you haven't installed yet this triggers a blue dot "install our app" notification on the hamburger icon at the top right of the Firefox browser app.

Of course everyone knows that "try the app" means "try it with ads" thus the reason why I prefer doing my business on a web page vs using an app.

So my question now becomes: How do I turn off the annoying and unwanted blue dot "install app" notification feature/function in the Firefox browser for Android?

Forgot to mention that I have notifications turned off for Firefox but still getting blue dot notifications.

Hi

I am sorry for the delay in responding. As I hope you have found, the dot inducates new features or information for your attention and should disappear once selected.

Thank you for letting us know your question has been resolved.
