I do not know anything about Windows 8 but if you have Firefox installed and running there is an easy method of finding your profile: let Firefox do it for you by using the troubleshooting option as explained in this article * [[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data]] ** also see [[Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles]] I would imagine your wife's profile should be in a similar location to your own but under another user's name. To manually migrate the profile just overwrite the existing default profile of your wife in Windows 8 with the full profile folder and files from the XP.
