I created a new subfolder. I can not copy or drag and drop emails to it from my inbox. I can not re-name or delete this subfolder.

Every time I try any of these actions I get a message on the screen that says:

"The current command did not succeed. The mail server for the account a.baba@mindspring.com

responded: Requested Object Does Not Exist."

I guess from that error message e that it doesn't exist on the server. All the same, I'd try visiting the email provider's website to see if there is anything amiss there.

If that doesn't work, open your Thunderbird profile in your file manager (Windows Explorer etc) and see you can find and delete the file that represents this folder. I'd expect it to have a .sbd extension.

Thanks Zeno for the reasonable solutions that. I contacted my email server (/Mindspring). They said that since the folder was created in TBird, they have nothing to do with it. They only process emails. As for the profile. I scoured both Local and Remote and opened all the profiles that have been created and could find nothing on the two sub-folders that I had created. Any other thoughts? ps. can I delete all the profiles in both Local and Remote that due not seem to be current as they don't have a recent entry in them? (My current one has today's info in it.) I seem to have a lot of them?
