Where Can I Download FireFox 18.x.
I am having trouble with FireFox 21.0. I want to downgrade to FF 18.x. Can someone tell me where I can find 18.x on an official Mozilla website?

Why Firefox 18?? What is the issue?
edit: fixed link and might as well make it the last security update for the old 18.0 which was 18.0.2.

Please be aware that version 18 is not secure; Mozilla discloses security flaws after each new release. Hopefully we can help you get Firefox 21 working as designed.
Thanks for the link. You left out the colon (:) though: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/18.0/
so I got this page: http://www.microfocus.com/products/terminal-emulator/index.aspx?ftpcom
However, your link led me to this page: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/
where I found 18.0.2.
I actually found 18.0 by deducing the link from this page: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
This is for 21.0: http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-21.0&os=win&lang=en-US
So by trial and error I found 18.0: http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-18.0&os=win&lang=en-US
18.0.2 was what I was looking for: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/18.0.2/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%2018.0.2.exe
Again, thanks for your link.
Can you tell us what kind of problems you have with Firefox 21?
Maybe we can offer you a solution.
It is never a good idea to downgrade to a previous Firefox version that has a lot of unpatched security vulnerabilities.
jscher2000, no, you won't be able to fix FireFox 21.0 to work correctly on my system. I have a 5 monitor system with 2 rows. FF 21 does not work correctly when FF or the "Show All Bookmarks" window is on one of the lower monitors. On May 19, I filled out a Bugzilla form and I don't know when or if they will fix the problem. If you want to read the details and see screenshots which demonstrate the problem, here is the link: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=873832
Here is a photograph of my system with all 5 monitors. The notes on this photograph are out of date and I should update them: http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B001RBE7GO

Does your earlier workaround of disabling hardware acceleration no longer work?
jscher2000, no because this does not involve transparent windows. This involves windows which open in the monitor above.
Due to the security problems, I could just leave it and hope Mozilla comes up with a fix. Perhaps they will fix it. It is rather irritating when I click on a menu or Bookmarks Toolbar folder and it opens on the monitor on the shelf. It's difficult to make the cursor go straight up to find what I want to click. Again, see this picture: http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B001RBE7GO
I've never seen a 5-monitor setup. This may be a unique situation.
As a coping strategy, I hope you can memorize some of the keyboard shortcuts listed on the menus and take advantage of the accelerator keys (underlined letters/numbers) to save on mousing.
In FireFox up to v17.x, everything, except the transparent menus, worked OK. This problem started with v21.0. This problem appears only when FF is used on the bottom row. This probably means anyone with 2 rows of monitors will experience this. Although the leftmost monitor on the shelf is positioned on the left, in Windows it is configured as being the upper left monitor. Here is the Windows Control Panel Applet: https://bug873832.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=751447
This actually works well because the smaller upper 19" monitors are 1280x1024 and the larger lower widescreen monitors are 1920x1080. The width for both rows are identical: | 1280x3 = 1920x2 | 3,840 = 3,840 pixels
Small note: Because most online videos, YouTube, Amazon, etc..., are lower resolution, they look better full screen with the smaller 19" standard aspect ratio monitors. They would look terrible full screen with the larger widescreen monitors.

I downloaded firefox 18 again in desperation and now flash works... wont work with any of the newer versions
Hi jungledrums, in the current version of Firefox, what happens when you try to run Flash? Does it simply not appear, or does it crash, or does it constantly require you to activate it?
Could you check your Flash player status on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a
- orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins.
For Shockwave Flash, what version do you have and is it set to "Always Activate", "Ask to Activate" or "Never Activate"? Note: in older Firefox versions, you see Enable/Disable instead of the above 3 choices, so the effective setting for Firefox 25 might not be visible in Firefox 18.
"I downloaded firefox 18 again in desperation and now flash works... wont work with any of the newer versions "
Hello jungledrums. First, upgrade to the latest version of FireFox, v25.0.1. Now, close FireFox and Internet Explorer. Next, Uninstall your Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin and probably also the ActiveX version. You can uninstall both versions in your Windows "Programs and Features" section. Go to: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
and download (save) the Flash Player installer. Open BOTH Internet Explorer for the ActiveX version AND FireFox for the Plugin version and save BOTH files. Save BOTH files on your PC. Close both your browsers and install both files. I advise NOT to install ANY of the extras Adobe offers. Be aware, Adobe has the idiotic idea to delete each Flash install file when you run them. You may want to save a copy somewhere else.

Hello everyone, since I am here on this page, I wanted to give everyone an update as to what is happening with FireFox. I am still using Win7-64 Pro. Mozilla did fix the problem involving multiple monitors. This problem is fixed: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=873832
However, Mozilla, as far as I know, has NOT fixed the problem with the Adobe Acrobat Print-to-PDF-file driver v10.1.8. This is the latest v10 Acrobat available: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=875691
I am currently using FireFox v23.0.1. I have not yet upgraded to v25.0.1. Because FireFox still does not work with the Adobe Acrobat Print-to-PDF-file driver, whenever I need a PDF file receipt of any kind, I use Internet Explorer 9 for this purpose. I have given up on FireFox for now. I still use FF for all other purposes, except for streaming movies. I have always used IE9 when I stream movies. For now, I have NO plans to upgrade to IE10 or IE11. I do not wish to encounter any further problems.
I plan to upgrade all the files on my desktop and laptop soon. This will probably take all night. I have to upgrade FF, Thunderbird, Flash, Shockwave, many Windows Update files, etc... I also need to update some utilities such as Sysinternals, Nirsoft, HWMonitor, perhaps CPU-Z, and a few others. I always read the Windows Update notes before I check them off. This is why it will probably take all night for both computers.
Hi Cypherdude, I don't know whether you find the Adobe PDF printer driver to have unique advantages, or whether you could use an alternate one such as these free ones:
- PrimoPDF - http://www.primopdf.com/
- PDFCreator - http://www.pdfforge.org/
- PDF24 Creator - http://en.pdf24.org/creator.html (I haven't tried this one)
