I have many bookmarks in folders on the toolbar and on the toolbar itself, and they work on a daily basis, so I know I have them. My bookmarks do not appear in the Bookmark Library(nothing does) I can't add bookmarks to most folders. only a few appear in the ADD BOOKMARK dialog box...with no discernible pattern.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Thank you Cor El,

I had tried this solution last week but wasn't successful. This morning I discovered why...

Firefox was using 3 different default profiles, interchangeably. The only evidence I have for this was the daily bookmark back ups. For example...profile 1 would have M, W, and F, profile 2 would have T and Sat, profile 3 the rest...

Very strange

Once I deleted two of the profiles, and deleted the places.sqlite files in the saved profile, everything corrected itself..

Now the big question is...how did FF get three profiles started? <shrugging my shoulders> Not going to worry about it right now. I'm SAVED!
