Do Mozilla implement secuirty patches in ESR before the update schedule

more options

Hi all,

I am looking into Firefox ESR to roll out in our environment, and am compiling some research to take to the Infrastructure Team.

A question that has been raised, is if a security threat is discovered and a patch is made, does that then automatically get rolled out to ESR before the scheduled update, or does it only come with each scheduled update?

If it does get rolled out early, then does automatic updating need to be enabled?

There are sometimes intermediate updates. For example, in the previous series:

If you take over updating, you'll need to stay on top of new releases, whether they are major updates or intermediate patches.
