Trying to unistall and reinstall Firefox browser. Can't unistall; error msg = Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Firefox. Can't open Firefox either. I restarted 6 x; same error msg. Can't install because I can't uninstall. OS = Windows 7, new Dell computer 6 mos old. HEEELLLLPPPP!

You can try to delete or rename the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\)

this worked for me! simply go into program files and completely wipe out Mozilla file. it is a last resort but it works. I had tried to upgrade to 5.0, got screwed up, tried to go back to 3.6 and got totally screwed. THANKS FOR THE SOLUTION !!! it saved my sanity. I love FireFox but they can have 5.0, the upgrade totally screwed up my system (vista)
