In past, when I click "cache" using Google search, I get a page of the website which has the search terms highlighted in colors. Now, in Firefox I only get a bunch of (I assume) code. For example, when I search in Google for "Firefox" and then click on "cache" the first few lines look like the section below starting with 1FFo. When I do the same thing in another browser, eg Safari, things work OK. So, I assume that it is a Firefox problem.

Your help would be appreciated greatly.

Don Smith

  • "Clear the Cache": Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
  • "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
