I may have actually solved this by reinstalling, but I'm posting for record and to keep track if it happens again; unfortunately intermittent issues are very difficult to reproduce on command.

I'm trying to visit a website that primarily displays a user-specific checklist of the animal crossing catalog via JavaScript. (nook.exchange) For the last couple of weeks, most of the time it works, sometimes it doesn't (but it does in another browser), usually late at night, but today much earlier.

Also, at this time another website claimed that I'm not authenticated despite being "logged in". (stalks.io)

And this support website claimed that I have cookies disabled, when I've only disabled tracking. After reinstalling, with tracking disabled, this website works just fine.

When clearing my cookies, it says "some private data could not be cleared". This made me think perhaps something is corrupted, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the browser, and my add-ons.

I have ublock, adblocker plus, and shinigami eyes addons installed. I use these frequently. I find the first two make most webpages load significantly faster.

Like I said, reinstalling seems to have solved the problem for now, but I'm mystified by the literally daily intermittency of the issue. Could very well be related to some kind of corrupted cookies somehow, but why would it only affect me for a few hours every day?

tenses are difficult: all previous experience of error should have been in the past tense, as reinstalling does seem to have fixed the problem, for now.
