Add bookmarks from bookmarks folder
I have a Documents folder named Bookmarks that contains hundreds of my bookmarks in dozens of sub-folders. How do I import them all into Firefox?

HI, you can do that if they are in 1 HTML File that has been previously exported or are in a previously exported json file. What do you do with existing bookmarks if the above is true ?
Thanks. Unfortunately the B ookmarks folder is not in HTML format.
I have been looking in my Carbonite backed up files and found one that looks promising.

Does that look like it might help? If not, can you tell me where in Firefox my bookmarks are kept.
HI, Bookmarks are in :
- bookmarks and history: places.sqlite
- bookmark backups: compressed .jsonlz4 JSON backups in the bookmarkbackups folder
2 ways, make another Profile and then try bringing in those bookmarks or export your existing bookmarks and try importing what you found.

Note that this is compressed .jsonlz4 backup from July 10th with 1576 items (bookmarks + folders) automatically created by Firefox.

Restoring this file will reset the bookmarks as stored in this backup.
Are the bookmarks you want to import in a file (what format) or is this a folder structure on the hard drive as used by the IE favorites?
