Confusion: two 32-bit installers on download page
Hi:
I need to know how to proceed *IF* I inadvertently installed the "XP/Vista" version of 32-bit v50 on my Win7 and Win10 systems. Reference: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=3025405
Back story:
Today -- on my third, backup, Win7 desktop -- I noticed two different 32-bit options here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ The column headings are very jumbled (see screen shot). But I eventually figured out which of the two 32-bit installers is the correct version for 7/8/8.1/10 to install on *this* rig.
~2 days ago, however, when I updated my other two systems (Win7 and Win10), either I did not notice that new, third option, or perhaps it was not there. I may have inadvertently installed the "XP/Vista" version on a Win7 box and a Win10 box.
I will get back to those computers later and will try to check.
Until I do, here are my questions:
1) How do I know if installed the correct 32-bit version of Fx 50 on my other 2 boxes yesterday - the version for Win7 and above?
2) If installed the wrong one (the XP/Vista version), do I need to: -- backup my profile and install the correct version on top of the existing v50 build? -- backup my profile, uninstall Fx and reinstall the correct version? -- do nothing, if it's working properly? -- do something else?
Thanks!

Same version of Firefox is delivered from both hyperlinks if you are using Win7 or higher (or Vista with the SHA2 compatibility update from Microsoft).
The left hand link for XP/Vista gets around the XP/Vista support being limited to SHA1.
If you are using XP/Vista and select the right-hand link, you would get Firefox 43.0.1 instead of the current release version, and then you would have to update Firefox manually; or wait until the automatic updater did the update for you to the current version.

Hi:
Thanks for quick and expert reply.
My Win10 box does indeed show v50.0, so I guess I am OK. I assume it will be the same favorable result on the Win7 laptop.
If I read your reply correctly, I do not need to reinstall or take other corrective actions. Yeah! Next time, I'll be sure to be fully caffeinated before I download my Fx installers. ;-)
Thanks, daledoc1
P.S. But the folks at Mozilla could do a better job with those column headings. :-D
