Tumblr not working
Since Oct. 14 same as this: https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2014/10/14/the-poodle-attack-and-the-end-of-ssl-3-0/ Think first was certificate warning then: An error occurred during a connection to bam.nr-data.net:443. Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s) Error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap Can't post, reblog, contact support, anything. Tried alot of troubleshooting: safe mode, new profile, no reset, delete cert8.db, cookies.sqlite, resetting security.ssl3 about:config, nothing works. Not only me: http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/tumblr.com.html https://canadianoutages.com/status/tumblr Unfortunenately I can't get a new computer or update everything.

hello ffhmffs, you need to update to the current firefox version: Update Firefox to the latest release
hello philipp, I knew that would be the response but I can't. I clicked check for updates and it installed ff 12 without asking me like it used to. On XP, no SP2 so I can't update further and if I do what would happen? I don't think a reset would help either. It works on every site except tumblr since the SSL 3.0 exploit news changed things and I don't think it's a coincidence people's tumblr's are broken since then. Could this be a trusted root certificate issue I can install? I'm sure that was the first ff message.
Firefox 12 only supports SSL3 and TLS 1.0, so you would have to disable SSL3 and leave use TLS 1.0.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Encryption: Protocols: SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0
That was one of the first things I did in firefox and internet options along with resetting security.ssl3.rsa_rc4_40_md5 security.ssl3.rsa_1024_des_cbc_sha security.ssl3.rsa_1024_rc4_56_sha and NOTHING works. I think firefox 13 needs SP2, if I try to update that what would happen? I have adblock addon disabled but when I visit Max Davis themes on and off it says turn it off. Yes this is an old computer and browser and probably won't get any help but the other people experiencing the same problem I'm sure have newer systems.
XP SP2 and SP3 support all Firefox versions.
I mentioned three times I don't have any service packs and xp is no longer supported. I asked twice what would happen if I update to firefox 13 which I saw requires sp2 and no answer. Just saying update to latest ff is going nowhere like I figured it would be from past experience with firefox help. I saw someone who I bet has lastest os, browser, etc. that flash update worked. I'll try to update that if it doesn't need sp2.
