I keep email in a Local Folder archives to reduce cyber footprint.

Some subdirectories have lost their connections to the email databases (and associated .msf files) in the local directory. The email folders appear empty, even thought the files (visible in Finder) are present and populated with data.

How can I restore the connections within Thunderbird, to the target data on the local drive.

Many thanks...Dave.

Close TB, open the profile folder and the Mail/Local Folders subfolder (or wherever the missing folders are), and delete the .msf files. They will be automatically recreated when TB restarts. Do the missing folders now show their contents?

Windows 10; TB 78.13; TB user for over 10 years; Have hidden files shown; 3 email accounts (2 IMAP Gmail and 1 Office 365). I have worked on this problem for 10 days. My business folders for my 365 account do not show on TB, but did before 10 days ago. I have 4 profiles saved. Active profile shows all of the file folders in the Local Folders. Those folders cannot be seen on that 365 email account. My Gmail accounts work fine. I created two new folders on the 365 email account and they can been seen each time I restart TB. Tried deleting a .msf and restarted TB and that file still will not show. I did not upgrade TB; it was automatic. Stuck. Appreciate your help. John
