Hello felixkw, This might a problem with the .dll files. I suggest you to download the .dll files from the red boxes ( Threads ) in your second screenshot and try again.

If the problem still persists, try re-installing Firefox.

Hi felixkw, sorry to hear about the crashes. It appears to be graphics related, so along the lines of updating those files, this article suggests safe ways to do that: Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL.

Meanwhile, we may be able to learn more about the situation if you share the links to the crash reports. Please check the support article "Firefox crashes - asking for support" for steps to get those crash report IDs from the about:crashes page, and then post some of the recent ones here.

And until then, you could test in Firefox's Safe Mode. That temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features of Firefox that might make it more prone to crashing on some systems.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

• "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
• Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

If it takes several hours to know, sorry about that, I know it's hard to live without your regular add-ons for an extended period! If you want to try only disabling hardware acceleration, you can do that on the Options page:

"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options

In the left column, click Advanced. On the right side, with the "General" mini-tab active, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available".

This takes effect the next time you exit Firefox and start it up again. Any difference? (Unfortunately, some fonts will look more spindly and some animations will run slower, but... possibly worth it to avoid crashes?)
