Script error when exporting bookmarks to backup
Using Firefox version 3.6.8, Windows Vista Home Premium.
When I backup my favorites using export html under backup and restore, I get the following popup message 3 times before it finishes copying the file:
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.
Script: file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsMicrosummaryService.js:532
When I click on the file in windows explorer, this is what shows in the popup window:
Script: C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsMicrosummaryService.js:532 Line: 3 Char: 1 Error: Syntax error Code: 800A03EA Source: Microsoft JScript compilation error
I was unable to find anything on the Code.

I have not heard from anyone concerning the script error when exporting bookmarks. Does anyone have a fix?
You can try to set the pref browser.microsummary.enabled to false on the about:config page.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
That did not work. It appears to be a syntax error as it states in the window when I click on the file. A Firefox programmer needs to fix the error with an update.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
