I have version 52.7.3esr. Loaded Firefox this morning and everything was gone. Back to a screen as if I had never used it. What happened. All bookmarks now gone. Toolbar now has only Most Visited and getting started A disaster. All else on computer unchanged. Nothing I did. Closed it normally last night. How do I get everything back. Hundreds of bookmarks. Help.

Thanks Fred,

  1. 1 there is no “Old Firefox” folder on the desktop.
  2. 2 One of the links said this:

“Click the menu button , click help and select Troubleshooting Information. The Troubleshooting Information tab will open.” There is no Troubleshooting tab in my menu. As a matter of fact I can not even find a Help tab to go to About to find my version number. Help! I find that so many of the articlsd I find on Google refer to menus that do not match mine. Things were so nice when we had a Menu bar

  1. 3 One of the links referred to an Exit button in the Menu bar. Again, no such button exists

So, I wake up in the monring to find that Mozilla has arbitrarily deleted my version of Firefox with all my bookmarks and preferences and substituted this new version with a menu that matches nothing you refer to or Google can find.

How can I get back to where I was? Or should I just give up on Firefox and go to Chrome?.
