Making tabs open next to the tab you have open
I just got the beta version of firefox 28 version 1. I have tab mix plus as my tab manager. When I went to 28 it stopped opening my tabs next to the one that I am using. It now open them at the end of the line of tabs. I mean that if I have 15 tabs open, as I do now, and I am focused on the 5th tab and want something to open next to it, it will no longer do so it will open after the 15th tab. I have tab mix set to have the tabs open after the tab that I am focusing on.
I realize that most will find this unimportant, but it is a pain in the rear when you want the tab in one place and it opens in a different different place!

Edit>>Prefences>> and tap Tags menu and click fifth option: When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately
And it's done.
You need to make such setting in the Tab Mix Plus settings for opening tabs.

There are other things that need your attention.
Note that your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.
- Shockwave Flash 12.0 r0
- Shockwave Flash 11.5 r502
- Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202
You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.
You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove all (older) version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and (re)install the latest Flash player.
- (32 bit Windows) C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\
- (64 bit Windows) C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\
I removed the flash crap, though that had nothing to do with my issue.
Nothing else has helped either. I do not need to switch to the new tab, I need it to open next to the one that I am on now. I have the choices in tab mix that are supposed to open next to the tab I am on, but it does not work in this version of tab mix. I can not find the config file to make it change from the about:config tab either.

I have gone to the forum and posted the problem, thanks for sending me there! I will come back and let everyone know if that worked and what the solution was, if they have one! Thanks
