hi all, recently i have had trouble with paying via my visa card on websites, this is a specific problem with Firefox as other browsers don't seem to have this issue. I got to a checkout and put in card details, either mine or my wifes, then it shows the Bank checking the details, but this never completes the transaction, the charge is put on the bank as 'Pending' but the order never gets charged and company never receives the order as confirmed. Firefox just sits there with a progress bar that doesn't stop no matter how long I leave it. I am on the latest version of FF for Mac, and the Mac is on 11.2.3 Big Sur, any help would be grateful.

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or blocked cookies.

  • check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools -> Page Info -> Permissions"

If clearing cookies didn't help then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder that stores the cookies got corrupted.

Thanks both for the information, I have cleared the cache and just in case removed Cookies.sqlite etc, when I next try a purchase I'll report back to see if this has worked. Thanks Both for your help.
