In the past, hovering over a link on a webpage would display the url at the bottom of the browser window. This is no longer working as of the Fx update to v55.0.2. Was this functionality removed or is there some other reason?

I've been using Status-4-Evar for so long I forgot that the progress bar and status text were part of it.

I downgraded to version 2017.03.19.12b and all is back to normal;.

I think it's "some other reason" because there are still some issues with Status-4-Evar in Firefox 55 on some platforms even with the beta. This is the latest page in its support thread: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=2001965

Could you experiment with different settings for where to display the Links:

I have Firefox 57.0. I do not wish to downgrade. Is there a setting or an add-on to show the URL at the bottom of the page when I hover over a link?

Hi ed.krall, Firefox should do that automatically. A little gray area floats over the bottom left corner of the document, or occasionally the lower right. Like the attached. (Screenshot is from Firefox 59, but Firefox 29-59 is similar in this regard.)

I noticed with Firefox 56 that it sometimes would stop working and I would have to exit Firefox and start it up again to restore the function. I don't know what triggered the problem and I'm hoping it goes away in Firefox 57.

It is back! I am not sure what I did - restart Firefox or just fussed with the color options or what. But the problem is no longer exists.
