Would it be possible to prevent firefox from reloading tabs when minimized/task switched like Opera mini does? It would save a ton of bandwidth /data plan and CPU time/batery/patience :) I know Android kills processes when it finds suitable, and with mobile firefox it's not different. There are some questions here that address this and the answers are always either you don't have enough RAM and then Android kills firefox or that mozilla can't do anything about it. It turns out that something can be done, as Opera mini keeps the completely loaded tabs even between reboots and crashes and opens them even without a working internet connection. There must be some tab content saving happening in the background that could be implemented in FF too. I'm no developer, so I can't help with this myself, but it seems very doable since Opera mini can do this even on the lowest end phones in existence like ZTE x850 running Android 2.1

Opera Mini functions much differently than Firefox for Android. If we have discarded images or other parts of the page then it was due to an Android memory pressure event. This process is outside Firefox's control.
