How do I get Firefox to restore my tabs after exiting Firefox in Private Browsing?

Sometimes, when leaving Private Browsing, I forget to switch back to normal browsing and simply close Firefox. A few versions ago, reopening the program would still restore the tabs that were open before I entered Private Browsing. Now, it will only restore them if I keep Firefox open and switch back to normal browsing. Is there any way I can manually restore the functionality I'm looking for?

I know there was a bug and Firefox leaked some content from Private Browsing, but I imagine the intent is that you should nor be able to get at cached or other information from private browsing once you exit it.

I'm sorry, I know my question was rather hard to follow; I'm trying to access the content that was open prior to my entering Private Browsing--but after I exit Firefox itself, rather than pressing Ctrl-Shift-P and switching back to normal browsing.

If you are using the default Firefox homepage - about:home - use Restore Previous Session when you open Firefox after having closed it while still in the Private Browsing mode. If you have a different homepage, use History > Restore Previous Session after opening Firefox.

AFAIK, that should restore the session you were in when you entered Private Browsing, even when you closed Firefox to leave the PB mode.
