I'd like to send emails to my clients without them seeing that the email was sent to others but also without having to send each individually myself. I don't want to simply Bcc everyone.

Is it possible to extract names and email addresses automatically from eg excel?

You can create a mailing list and use BCC for the list. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird_:_FAQs_:_Create_Mailing_List
