Why when I open a new Tab, does it now open a "bing" search bar? I'm never really searching for a searchbar and it interupts my efficiency. :(
If I press ctrl + t in order to make a new tab, the new tab loads a bing search bar. Why? Why isn't it a blank window? When I open the new Tab the cursor is moved from the address bar to the search-bar. This is inefficient for me, because I know the website I am looking for and do not really need to search it. Is there a way to change this? It actually deters me from using FireFox and I would prefer just to resolve this issue.
Chosen solution
Somehow you got a Bing extension or a "search helper" extension installed, which changed the blank new tab to Bing.

Ahh... sweet sweet blank tabs. :) Thank you for your speedy, succinct and helpful reply.
I had the same problem. I saw there were several different names and locations for resolution of the problem, none of which were found on my computer. Crafty devils at MicroSuck changed the name under my add-ons to "default tab" extension.
Modified
Here is the easy fix for this. Open control panel and uninstall the "Start Now Toolbar". That will fix the problem!! Yeehaw!
