Want to turn off the feature that asks me every time to save a password. Also want to change a setting so that it does not remember the password it saved when I hit the wrong button. How do I do that? Firefox 4.0 Thanks.

Chosen solution

  1. Click the orange Firefox button, then select Options to open the options window
  2. Go to the Security panel
  3. To stop Firefox asking to save passwords, de-select the setting "Remember passwords for sites"
  4. To delete any passwords that have been saved, click the "Saved Passwords" button to open the passwords manager
  5. In the passwords manager click the "Remove All" to delete all of the saved passwords
