I downloaded firefox and am using it but sometimes a box opens telling me to drag firefox icon into applications folder-try to but it says I don't have permission for certain items

When I try dragging the firefox icon intot he applications folder it says I already have one in there and do I want to replace it I say yes, but then it says "The operation can't be completed because I don't have permission to access some of the items."

  • Download a new copy of the Firefox program: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
  • Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re)install.
  • Install the new version that you have downloaded.

Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.
