G'day everyone,

As we all know, toolbars are unsafe and full of cookies, etc... I really would like to know how to delete this? I can't seem to find out how to delete the toolbar in the "Add-ons" section.

The Firefox default toolbars are 100% safe and are not "full of cookies". You don't want to delete the toolbars; you wouldn't be able to use Firefox. Now, if you're talking about commercial toolbar addons, like Yahoo or Google toolbars; yes, those are unsafe, and are often filled with spyware.

Usually, to get rid of those, you need to go to your Control Panels, and locate the panel for removing/editing installed programs (rather than looking for the installation in Firefox itself). Most of the time, the toolbar will be in your uninstall list, and you can remove it from there; but make sure you close Firefox before you remove the toolbar.

Thanks for your answer and correction. I am talking about the search engines (for example, Google, Yahoo) etc... that came with Firefox when I installed it. The bar on the right top corner. Can that one be deleted?

Thanks.

If you do not want to use the search bar then you drag it back into the Customize window: View > Toolbars > Customize

You can also remove search engines that you do not want to use.
