security of masterpassword
I recently started to use sync for firefox on linux and on android and looked up a password on my phone. I was shocked that the passwords are only secured by my fingerprint and unlock pattern. is there an option to force users to type the master password like on windows and linux

Quote: Firefox on Android has never supported the Master Password system This isn't entirely true. The previous Firefox 68 version for Android did support the MP (I used this feature) and there was actually a problem with importing the logins in the new Firefox Daylight release that caused the login not getting imported when a MP was set. This issue has been addressed in a recent update.
Fair enough. Perhaps I should rephrase that.
It never supported Master Password when using Firefox Sync. If you had the Master Password enabled, your passwords would stop syncing between Android and the other platforms.

I'm not entirely sure of the technical reason why, but Firefox on Android has never supported the Master Password system. The new Firefox Lockwise app addressed that by using the locking system built into your Android device, but it still doesn't support Master Password, unfortunately.
