How long will my sync data be kept for?
Hi Please can you tell me if all my sync data will be retained indefinitely? I have had problems with my PC recently, have not logged in to firefox for a few months, I'm getting that anxious that all my sync data will be deleted from the server. I have been able to copy my profile folder. The other issue may not be able to retrieve my sync data login password from old PC, my understanding is that if I need to reset password, will lose all sync data. Please can you help
Thanks Shaun

According to https://blog.mozilla.org/services/2014/04/30/firefox-syncs-new-security-model/:
Sync isn’t designed as durable, long-term storage, so if you haven’t accessed it in a year, there’s a chance that your Sync data has been wiped.
From what I've read, I don't think resetting your password should cause you to lose sync data, but changing your sync key will.

The Sync key is derived from the password that you use to sign in to the Firefox account, so you will lose your data if you do not remember the password and have to reset it.
