Can't get NPR media player to work

more options

I'm using Firefox 25.0.1. When I try to use NPR's media player, a popup tells me to update Adobe and to enable javascript. I have done both but it still says that javascript is not enabled. When I disable javascript, the nothing pops up or opens at all

Firefox's built-in JavaScript setting is a simple on/off switch, which is best left "on" (enabled = true).

If an icon reminiscent of a "Lego" piece appears in the address bar, you can click it to confirm that Flash is running on the page, or to approve it if it isn't.

Do you have any extensions or security software that might be filtering scripts, or possibly displaying bogus upgrade messages? One way to test whether an extension might be causing the issue is to try the site in Firefox's Safe Mode. That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled (Flash will still be enabled)

In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)

Any difference?
